Verdict
Looks and feels like it has cost a great deal more than the price tag suggests. A well-designed and fully-functional tourer, which is our star buy.
Pros
Space, good looks and flexibility
The versatile sleeping arrangements are particularly impressive
Washroom is spacious for the size of the ‘van and the dressing room is a neat, novel addition.
Cons
Seat cushions could be a little firmer.
Living
The Trigano is well designed and beautifully executed. Thanks to a hinge-down panel, the amount of work surface is plentiful. A similar panel helps convert the back of the motorhome into a dressing area for the shower room. As the Tribute is supplied with a free-standing table, its owners can really enjoy their summer touring and eat al fresco.
Thanks to its clever design, there is space for you and seven others to lounge. There’s also room around the table for four to dine in comparative luxury. The seat cushions themselves are not as comfortable as we would like, but there is a dedicated spot for the TV.
Kitchen
Kitchens are often restricted in ‘van conversions. However, the Trigano manages to fit in a four-burner hob, with oven and grill, as well as a sink and drainer and, thanks to its clever drop-down extension, a decent amount of work space. The oven and grill are rather small though, and at a low height. There’s a 77-litre Dometic fridges and a 10-litre Truma boiler.
The sink and drainer on the Trigano are large enough to cope with the dishes from a meal for two.
Storage is reasonable, and close enough to the kitchen to be practical.
Washroom
Trigano provides a fully equipped shower room, as well as a reasonable amount of storage within the small washroom, which features a Thetford electric flush cassette toilet. The Tribute also comes with the rather neat touch of a bespoke shower curtain. Another clever feature is the ability to use the kitchen tap as a shower head. The toilet space isn’t massive, but we had no problem with it.
The Trigano came up trumps with a dressing room, situated at the rear of the ‘van alongside the washroom. It is created by opening the washroom door and then unclipping a panel. This closes the gap between the washroom door and the side of the motorhome and creates a handy little dressing area.
Beds
The Trigano has distinctive and novel features that puts it a cut above other rivals. For example, its bed is very flexible – it can be used as two singles, a transverse double, a longitudinal double or a super-king size, and all options can be made up using just two extra cushions. However, the arrangements aren’t particularly comfortable – its cushions are not supportive enough and its bed, once made up, restricts access through the side door.
There are silver screens and cassette blinds all round, so there should be no chinks of light invading from outside.
Storage
The Trigano has eight eye-level cupboards as well as underseat storage, although its long bench seat contains the water tank, which reduces storage space significantly. There is plenty of room for cooking utensils, as well as all your on-tour food shopping, in the various drawers and cupboards that are dotted around the kitchen.
