Slovenian van converter Robeta will be showing off a new luxurious campervan at the Caravan, Camping and Motorhome Show at the NEC this February which is the result of a two-year collaboration with former Formula One star Ralf Schumacher.
The Robeta Schumacher Edition is based on a Mercedes Sprinter, one of the best vans for a camper conversion and comes with a number of luxury features.
These include a JL Audio sound system, a dishwasher, a hot-air grill and a separate wine cooler. The interior furniture has also been finished by a well-known Slovenian yacht maker, which has not worked in motorhomes before.
The ’van’s 2m-long drop-down bed is suspended on thin steel cables to give the impression that it is floating. Once lowered, it can be extended to 1.60m wide.
Not surprisingly, such an upmarket vehicle, which will be sold in the UK by Cara Motorhomes, in Stafford, is not going to come cheap. It starts at £274,120 OTR.
Visitors to the upcoming NEC Show should be able to see other new models too, including the Bailey Adamo XL range of three motorhomes, which are each 8m long. There should also be the chance to see new ‘vans from Pilote, which is launching a range of special edition motorhomes that are targeted at fans of off-gridding.
