The Redline stand at the Motorhome & Caravan Show at the NEC this week (15-20 October) includes the new GT model designed to go on both the new Ford Transit Custom and the just emerging VW T7.

The Redline GT is the first in a new generation of vehicles from the Daventry-based converter aimed at taking advantage of the closer working relationship the base vehicle manufacturers are set to take in the near future – take a look at our best van for converting to a camper guide if you’d like to find out more about both Ford and VW.

The new vehicle, which starts at £58,995, comes with a standard “VW-style” layout with a rear RIB bench with two belted seats and Isofix fittings.

The twin-polycarbonate rising roof – exclusive to Redline – has a noise-reducing front spoiler and comes with an upholstered bed and a roof tent with twin mesh ventilation and large front window.

Down below you get a two-burner gas hob, a 12V fridge and a 45-litre onboard water tank.

The vehicle, made with 25mm Dacron insulation, has its own power management system and comes equipped with a 110AGM leisure battery.

Don’s miss also the Redline Classic model the company is reintroducing, and which is on show on the stand in a two-tone finish. Based on a VW T6.1, it starts at £34.995.

The GT is one of many new options at the NEC, including the new 4×4 Mercedes Sprinter-based Coachman Duro, which is targeted at lovers of offroad adventures. Visitors to the Auto-Trail stand are also getting to see the new addition to the Excel range, as well as a model displaying the new optional pop-top roof.
