I’ve kept that in mind when looking through the tool kits on offer on Amazon Prime Day this year, and I’ve found a number that are worth a look.

Draper 08627 Tool Kit with Storage Case (100-piece) was £124.99 now £92.99
This looks like a cracking deal from British name Draper – you can enjoy 26% off this useful set, which comes in at a chunky 7.5kg in weight. There should be everything you need here to tackle most jobs: its 100 pieces include a good variety of sockets, spanners, bits, a utility knife and also a handy tape measure.
Draper is a well-known brand, so you can expect decent quality, and you can buy with increased peace of mind thanks to the included Draper lifetime warranty.
Amazon Basics Household Tool Set was £20.99 now £16.79
This isn’t the most comprehensive set in this round-up by any means, but if you’re looking for a simple tool kit without any bells and whistles, but at a good price, this could be the one for you. In addition to the usual pliers, screwdrivers and more, there are a couple of handy inclusions in the form of a utility knife, a roll of insulation tape (which is always useful) and a voltage tester. I’ve always found Amazon’s Basics range to be impressively good value, and this looks to be just that.
Enventor Tool Kit Set General Household Hand Tool Kit, 218 pieces was £69.99 now £49.99
A whopping 30% Prime Day discount is available on this Enventor tool set, which includes 218 pieces that are packed away neatly into a plastic box. The set weighs just under 6kg, so won’t eat up too much of your payload.
It features a decent range of tools, including screwdrivers, a claw hammer, pliers, an adjustable wrench, a measuring tape, sockets and bits, woodworking clamps and more. It’s also good to see a spirit level included here, which will help make levelling your motorhome that little bit easier.

Unusually, this tool set from Deko features an 8V drill – the latter is cordless, too, so should be easier to work with in the confines of your motorhome. It’s rechargeable via USB socket in case you need extra power on the road, and a small selection of drill bits are included.
In addition to the drill, in this set you’ll find an adjustable wrench, a claw hammer, pliers, sockets, hex keys, screwdrivers and a tape measure. It’s currently available with an 18% discount.
Makita E-11542 87 Piece Mechanics Set was £101.33 now £86.09
If you want a high-quality tool set from a big-name brand, this could be an ideal one for you this Prime Day. Within the sturdy case are two layers of tools, and the latter also look good quality. “Amazing for the money,” said one reviewer – and this toolkit is currently available with a 15% Prime Day discount.
Within the set you’ll find an adjustable wrench, pliers, a screwdriver, a hex wrench and more. The entire kit, including the box, weighs around 5kg.
