Itineo is a budget range of A-class ’vans from the Rapido Group, which has also revealed its 2016 range. They offer the advantages of this premium type of leisure vehicle for the price of a coachbuilt motorhome. Twelve models are available, covering a range of popular floorplans and bed types.

Built in the Rapido factory in Mayenne, France, since 2013, Itineo motorhomes have a five-year bodyshell integrity and furniture warranty. Exteriors are 100% GRP, with hail-resistant polyester roofs, floor edges in polyurethane and polyester underfloors.

All Itineo ’vans are based on Fiat Ducato 3500kg chassis with different power outputs across the range: 115, 130, 150 and 180bhp. Fiat’s ComfortMatic transmission is available on the 180bhp unit. The chassis can be upgraded to 4250kg with the 150bhp engine, and 4400kg with the 180bhp.

Four new models are available for 2016: the four-berth, transverse rear bed TB700; four-berth, island bed MB700; four-berth, twin-bed JB700; and six-berth, bunk-bed SB700.

They join the two-berth, French-bed LB600; four-berth, drop-down-bed FB600; four-berth, island-bed MC650, CB740 and MB740; four-berth, twin-single DB740; six-berth, bunk-bed SB740; and six-berth, adjustable-rear-beds MJB740. The SB720 and MJB800 don’t make the cut for the 2016 model year.

Equipment enhancements for 2016 include new rear panels with a new bumper design and three-function LED light clusters (tail-light, indicator and brake). Moving inside, there’s a new wood tone, indirect LED furniture lights and a new design for the interior walls. New-style seat backs are available, in three finishes, with a choice of four scatter cushions.

The Itineo Pack (€2875) adds cab air con, a passenger airbag, cruise control, central locking for habitation and cab doors, cabin seat cover, height-adjustable captain’s chairs, double armrests, LED day lighting, prewiring and cab speakers for cab radio and prewiring for a reversing camera.

Optional extras include floor heating on all models, an outside drawer in the side skirt, a Waeco reversing camera, external storage access (SB700 and SB740 only), a king-size bed in the JB700 and a comfort habitation door.
