The Panama, a new Spanish-built campervan, is coming to the UK courtesy of Marquis Leisure.

Based on Ford’s Tourneo people carrier vehicle, the Panama range, built in Peniscola, consists of two models.

The best campervans offer a practical and comfortable layout, as well as a good spec and driving experience. In the case of the Panama range, the P12 features a classic “VW-style” ‘layout with a side kitchen, although it has an optional second bench in the back, and so can carry seven people.

The longer P57 has five travel seats in total, including three in the back, with a kitchen and toilet at the back and a rock & roll bench seat which can convert into a double bed.

Both models have a roof bed as standard.

Other features include a 136PS engine with automatic gearbox as standard, automatic lights and wipers, speed sign recognition, lane assist and 17-inch alloy wheels.

Inside you’ll find a two-burner hob, a 42-litre fridge, and diesel heating. The P57 also comes with hot water.

The Panama range is not the only new campervans to be coming to the UK market, with Knaus and Weinsberg both set to launch a Mercedes Sprinter ‘van. The manufacturer also recently announced it would be launching a new brand before the end of the year.
