Amazon Prime Day is back, and it’s a great time to bag a bargain on motorhome bits of kit that you might or might not have known you needed. But there’s a lot of stuff out there – so how do you know what’s a good bargain, and what’s better left in your digital basket?

That’s where we’re able to help – we’ve spent time trawling through all of Amazon’s Prime Day motorhome accessory deals, to save you both time and money.

I’m the editor of Practical Motorhome, and I’ve focused on motorhoming products this year – here’s my pick of the discounts that I’m tempted by this Prime Day.

Echo Auto 2nd gen
Image: Amazon

Echo Auto (2nd gen) was £59.99 now £33.99

Want to know what the weather will be like at your campsite when you’re driving there? Fancy listening to your favourite songs with ease? Need to speak to someone at home via another Echo Device? If you’ve answered yes, the Echo Auto could be for you. It works like a standard Echo domestic device, but pairs to your phone to allow voice control – super handy when you’re out and about on tour, if your motorhome doesn’t have a voice assistant. This is a good deal, too, with more than 30% off – all of this means that it’s a must-buy for me this Prime Day.

Jackery Explorer 100 Plus
Image: Amazon

Jackery Explorer 100 Plus was £139.99 now £89

This one was a big favourite of the Practical Motorhome team last Prime Day, so I was pleased to see it on offer again this time around. It’s a neat little power bank that weighs less than a kilo, but that promises to pack a powerful charging punch thanks to its maximum 128W output. Recharging is quick – it should reach 70% capacity in an hour when charged via mains – and you can also pair it with a portable solar panel (not included) when you’re off-grid. The little screen is helpful, too, giving you precise information in an easy-to-read format.

Salter EK2817 2L Compact Air Fryer
Image: Amazon

Salter EK2817 2L Compact Air Fryer – was £39.99 now £33.89

I love air fryers – they make light work of cooking food that you’d normally stick in the oven, and save money on electricity, too. They’re also great for taking away with you in your motorhome when you’re staying at a site with electric hook-up, meaning you won’t need to use up your gas supplies.

It’s important to choose one that’s relatively low in wattage to avoid tripping the hook-up bollard, and this 1000W example from Salter looks to be a great choice. It has a compact two-litre capacity, so won’t take up too much space in your motorhome’s lockers, it features solid temperature and timer dials, and has a non-stick pot so is easier to wash up afterwards.

Siegvoll Plate Holder
Image: Amazon

Siegvoll Plate Holder was £29.99 now £23.99

This is a neat little gadget that will help save both noise and your motorhome crockery and glasses getting damaged when you’re out on the road. The premise is simple – simply slot the PU-foam-constructed organisers into your lockers, and your cups, plates and more should be held safely in position when you’re driving. They’re also less likely to fall out when you open the locker door when you arrive at your destination, too. There’s even a special slot for cutlery – handy if you don’t have a dedicated draw in your campervan. At just 80g in weight, the units won’t eat up your payload, either.

Howsehold Motorhome Levelling Ramps
Image: Amazon

Howsehold Motorhome Levelling Ramps was £36.99 now £28.49

Every motorhome should carry a good pair of levelling ramps – they can mean the difference between getting a good night’s sleep in a level motorhome, and having a disturbed night in a bed that you feel you’re about to roll out of.

These levelling ramps caught my eye when I was looking through Prime Day deals this morning. Not only do they appear reassuringly solid – and they have a chunky weight limit of 2500kg per unit – they have a choice of three different levels to drive onto as well, making them more practical to use. They’re a decent length, at 60cm, and have a maximum height of 10cm.

Pro-Kleen Intense Waste Pipe and Tank Cleaner
Image: Amazon

Pro-Kleen Intense Waste Pipe and Tank Cleaner was £7.95 now £6.76

Whether you’re planning to lay your motorhome up for the colder weather, or are continuing to tour all year, it’s the time of the season when it’s usually necessary to give your motorhome’s waste pipes a good clean after a summer of use. So I’m tempted by this one-litre bottle of pipe and tank cleaner from the experts at Pro-Kleen, which promises to take care of nasty niffs and even unblock clogs. If your ’van suffers from the dreaded black flakes in the toilet’s flush water tank, too, then take a look at this product: the makers claim that it can beat those, too.
