Hymer has its eye firmly on off-road campers in 2025, with the launch of two crossover special edition models – one as a low-profile, one as a campervan, both on a Mercedes Sprinter – equipped with features to make off-grid touring easier.
The German company is also bringing out a new campervan with fixed single beds on the same base vehicle, which is among the best vans for a camper conversion. The manufacturer is also launching BlackLine special editions of its B-Class Modern Comfort (B-MC) range, both as low-profiles and A-class motorhomes.
The ML-T 570 CrossOver has a Lund Leather upholstery finish with green accents and neon green decals on the outside. It comes kitted out with two 95W solar panels and a 1800W inverter.
The Grand Canyon S CrossOver, meanwhile, comes with four 80 Ah lithium batteries, one 95W solar panel and a 1300W inverter.
Both models also get a fresh water filter, a second cassette toilet and a 6kW diesel heater.
The new Grand Canyon S 700 is a longer version of the existing Mercedes-based Grand Canyon S, with fixed longitudinal bed single beds at the back instead of a transverse bed.
Coming in at just under 7m, the vehicle includes a washroom with a swinging partition that reveals a shower, with a separate wardrobe next to the beds. You also get a 90-litre compressor fridge and an 80Ah lithium leisure battery.
The van’s interior comes in a choice of finishes: either Ivy Green with felt accents or Pearl Grey with an oak finish. Four-wheel drive or a pop-top roof are both options.
The new BlackLine editions of the five-strong B-MC range feature special graphics on the outside and 16-inch alloy wheels. Inside you get concrete-effect flooring, while the usually optional Plus and Comfort Living packages both are fitted as standard. The latter includes special bedding, additional sockets and a more sophisticated ambient light system.
Hymer isn’t the only brand bringing out off-grid vehicles this season. Carado, which started life as Hymer’s budget brand, is including a special edition 4X4 vehicle in its line-up. Another Continental manufacturer, Fleurette, has also announced its new season plans, and is launching its first ever models based on a Mercedes Sprinter.
