Luigi's Cable Storage Bag

Luigi’s Cable Storage Bag was £9.99 now £7.99

It’s happened to all of us – arrived at a campsite, only to find your hook-up lead is tangled up when you pull it out of the locker. Putting a muddy or wet hook-up lead away isn’t ideal, either: it can make a real mess of your storage space.

That’s why I really like this cable storage bag, which is coming in at a bargain price this Prime Day. It’s not the biggest out there, but reviewers report being able to store a neatly coiled mains lead, and it looks smart. The manufacturers claim that the fabric is water resistant, too, helping to protect both the cable when it’s packed away and the interior of your motorhome.

MR.SIGA Mini Dustpan and Brush Set
Image: Amazon

MR.SIGA Mini Dustpan and Brush Set was £11.99 now £7.99

Dust, dry mud and grass in your ‘van are an inevitable part of motorhoming life, and it’s important to keep on top of them to keep your upholstery and flooring clean and tidy. I reckon this little dustpan and brush set is perfect for keeping tucked away in a locker, ready to deal with crumbs and dirt; it measures just 19 x 16cm, yet should be large enough to tackle most cleaning tasks. It also has an environmentally friendly bamboo handle, while the raised bar across the front of the pan unit should mean that less dirt escapes when you’re moving around.

Sleepdown Printed Campervan Duvet Cover (single)

Sleepdown Printed Campervan Duvet Cover (single) was £22.99 now £6.52

If you’ve got single beds in your motorhome, then this one is a must-buy – it’s a single duvet cover in a cheery blue and orange campervan print that’s sure to brighten your ‘van’s interior. It’s made of strong, durable polycotton and is fully machine washable when you get back home; the manufacturers also claim that it’s quick drying and requires minimal ironing.

What’s more, it comes with a matching pillow case and, if you ever get bored of the campervan print, is reversible – simply flip it over for a grey palm-tree-design alternative. A double-bed version is also available, for a slightly higher price.

Thermos Translucent Desk Mug

Thermos Translucent Desk Mug was £7.99 now £6.39

All motorhomers spend a fair amount of time out of doors, and having a hot drink to hand is a real pleasure, particularly if you’re sitting outside under the awning on a chilly day. But your much-anticipated tea or coffee is likely to cool down quickly – unless you have something like this in your touring kit.

The Thermos desk mug features double-wall insulation, and the manufacturers claim that the mug will help keep your drink hot for up to an hour. The lid is spill-resistant, too, and it comes in a smart blue colour. At less than £7, this mug looks like a bargain to me.

AA Car Headlamp Headlight Beam Converters

AA Car Headlamp Headlight Beam Converters was £5.49 now £4.59

Headlight-beam converters – a legal requirement on the Continent unless you can otherwise alter your motorhome’s beams – are one of those things that it’s easy to forget until you arrive at the port, where you’re likely to be charged a premium. That’s why I reckon it’s worth buying these now, and keeping them in the glove compartment until they’re needed. I’ve used these AA converters numerous times, and have always found them robust and simple to use, no matter what vehicle your motorhome is based on. Fitting instructions for more than 800 vehicles are included, to make installing them quick and easy.

Packing cubes

Packing Cubes was £9.99 now £8.49

I’m a relative newcomer to packing cubes, but once I’d tried them I decided I’d never go back – they make keeping your motorhome’s lockers neat and tidy a doddle.

The premise is simple: pack each one with a different type of clothing when you’re at home, then transfer to your motorhome, leaving your clothes in the bags. It makes it really easy to find what you need every morning, and when it comes to unpacking at the end of your trip, it’s straightforward to move the packed cubes straight back into the house. This set consists of eight handy pieces in varying sizes.
