Crozier Campers, a converter which was founded only four years ago, has become part of Mercedes Benz’s Bodybuilder programme after investing £40,000 in design software and CNC machinery.

The inclusion in the programme means Crozier Campers can now order pre-registered Sprinter vans directly from Mercedes Benz in Germany – take a look at our best van for converting to a camper guide to find out more about the base vehicle.

The company, based at Poulton-le-Fylde outside Blackpool, makes a range of vans, from day vans based on VW Transporters (see: the best VW campervans if you’re thinking of buying a Volkswagen model) to larger vehicles aimed at off-grid camping.

Its investment was supported by a £20,000 grant from Made Smarter, a joint initiative by the government and industry to encourage more businesses, particularly SMEs, to introduce digital technology.

In other industry news, Knaus and Weinsberg have announced they will both be releasing a Mercedes Sprinter ‘van for the new season.
