Citroen has become the latest car marque to launch its own rising roof campervan.
The Stellantis brand has teamed up with Slovenian campervan converter Bravia Mobil to produce the 4.98m-long Holidays, which comes with a rising roof as standard.
Right hand drive versions sold exclusively with a 2.0-litre 180bhp BlueHDi engine and with an automatic gearbox fitted as standard should be on sale at Citroen car dealers in the UK from this summer.
Unveiled at the CMT show in Stuttgart last month, the Holidays is derived from Bravia Mobil’s existing SpaceTourer vehicle.
The cab includes a 10-inch touchscreen for the infotainment system, and there are 17 different driving assistance technologies included.
People on the hunt for the best campervan will consider factors like storage when choosing the right one for them. In the case of Citroen’s model, the van includes a rear bench with two travel seats that can be completely removed to provide more storage space. It can also be turned into a double measuring 1.90 x 1.15m. The rising roof holds another double measuring 1.95 x 1.20m.
The side kitchen unit includes a stainless steel sink, two gas burners, a 16-litre fridge and a clip-on table, even with sliding doors on both sides. (Electric sliding doors are available as an option.) A Webasto campervan heater keeps things warm inside, while there are also four USB ports (two USB-As and two USB-Cs) and a wireless phone charger.
The kitchen unit and table can also be completely removed for cooking and eating outside.
You get a 10-litre fresh water tank and the same size for waste water, while blackout blinds are fitted to the windscreen and all windows. Both sides of the vehicle also feature a rail for an optional roll-out awning.
Other options include a removable toilet and a removable shower with its own 25-litre tank.
There has been other news coming in from converters and brands too, including Erwin Hymer Group UK sharing further information about its new Xplore CV X8 campervan. As well as that, ARB UK has revealed it will have its ARB camper van on display at the upcoming February NEC Show.
