Spinney has negotiated the purchase of the Broadlane Leisure site near Kenilworth, Warwickshire.

The takeover of the Broadlane Leisure dealership comes at a time when Spinney has purchased White Arches, following the collapse of Robinsons Caravan Group.

It strengthens Spinney’s motorhome arm, as it will continue to operate as a motorhome and caravan sales and aftersales centre, with an accessories shop.

Broadlane, meanwhile, will focus on its premises on the outskirts of Alcester, Warwickshire where – along with new and used motorhomes, accessories and awnings – it has an exclusive relationship with local bespoke Volkswagen campervan converter, CampAway. With the promise ‘no two campers the same’, CampAway is initially a three-model range, including the Classic, Vista and recently introduced Campaway Casa, the latter designed for solo use and coming complete with on-board toilet and external shower.

The Casa has had a notable time since launching, with our judging panel picking it out as the best motorhome for innovation at the Practical Motorhome Awards 2024. Our judges were especially impressed by how there were three long beds and that on-board toilet and external shower in a space that was less than six metres, the type of features you’d look for in one of the best VW campervans.

Broadlane was founded as a leisure vehicle retailer over 50 years ago and is still owned by the Brown family.
